CIM Finance & Research Ltd is a Helsinki based financial advisory
and fund management company founded in 2001. The founders are
Messrs Heikki Masalin and Jorma Routti.
We develop and manage innovative financial instruments independently
and powered by prominent financial institutions as well as public and
private investors.
CIM Finance & Research Ltd has both its own personnel
and some shared
personnel with sister company, CIM Creative Industries Management Ltd
(founded 2000).
The sister company manages CIM Venture Fund for Creative
Industries L.P.,
which is the first European fund for cross media entertainment content.
Our team looks for business opportunities in permanently
changing operational
environment and creates innovative financial products and fund concepts
to meet the requests of the market.
Now we are introducing a mezzanine fund based on warrant
bonds with partial
guarantees. Our cooperation partner in deal flow development, corporate
analysis and assessment is the guarantor, Finnvera Plc. The portfolio,
which is available at the closing of the fund, consists of
Finnish growth
companies.
We also provide corporate finance and advisory services to
those institutional
and corporate clients involved and interested particularly in knowledge
based and intellectual property rights (IPRs) related industries.
Besides providing advice CIM Finance & Research Ltd has
also completed
various studies e.g. on mezzanine finance. The latest
assignment commissioned
by the Nordic Council of Ministers focused on proposing
viable financial
instruments to promote the development of digital media
content companies.
We work hard to increase our understanding of what’s going on in
the world and how to add value. We specialise in evaluating risks and
opportunities for knowledge intensive companies.
